Dr. Sarat Chandra Tripathy, Scientist-F, Ocean Sciences Group, NCPOR, has been selected as Co-Chair of the Southern Ocean Indian Sector Working Group (SOIS-WG) of the Southern Ocean Observing System (SOOS) an international initiative of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) and the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR). Apart from leading the SOIS-WG (https://www.soos.aq/activities/rwg/sois), he will also act as a member of SOOS Regional Working Group Consortium as well as ex-officio members of the SOOS Scientific Steering Committee.
