On World Day For Glaciers, marking the 2025–2034 Decade of Action for Cryospheric Sciences, the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR) hosted a one-day outreach bringing together students, researchers, and scientists to deepen understanding of glaciers and their global significance. Inaugurated by Dr. Rahul Mohan, Scientist G and Group Director, the programme featured a panel discussion “Talk to Glacier Scientists” with experts from the Arctic, Antarctica, and the Himalayas, alongside interactive sessions and a quiz—engaging young researchers and inspiring the next generation of glaciologists.
