Dr. Thamban Meloth, Director, NCPOR, participated in the WMO Executive Committee on Polar and High Mountain Observations, Research and Services (PHORS) and the WCRP Climate and Cryosphere Scientific Steering Group meetings, held from 9–14 February 2026 in Wellington, New Zealand.

NCPOR researchers also actively contributed to multiple sessions at the CliC Open Science Conference, showcasing India’s ongoing research efforts in polar science and cryosphere studies.
