NCPOR hosted H.E. Ms. May-Elin Stener, Ambassador of Norway to India, Prof . Camilla Brekke, Director, Norwegian Polar Institute (NPI) along with a distinguished delegation from the Norwegian Polar Institute on 26 November 2025. Dr. Thamban Meloth, Director, NCPOR, welcomed the delegation and led comprehensive discussions focused on productive scientific exchanges on Arctic and Antarctic research. The visit focused on advancing the India–Norway MoU on Polar Research, with both sides reviewing progress and outlining the next steps for enhanced collaboration, joint studies, and data-sharing.

The visit featured key presentations on Arctic and Antarctic climate research, highlighting strong Indo–Norwegian scientific synergy. The delegation toured NCPOR’s facilities and engaged with researchers, reaffirming a shared commitment to deeper collaboration. The visit marks a significant step in advancing joint India–Norway polar research.
