Dr. Manish Tiwari, Group Director (Arctic Operations) and Scientist-F at NCPOR, participated in the Arctic Circle Assembly 2025, a leading global forum for dialogue and collaboration on Arctic affairs held in Reykjavik, Iceland. He participated in the session “The Role and Importance of the Global South in the Arctic,” where he presented scientific evidence illustrating the climatic interconnections between the Arctic and the Global South, and highlighted India’s significant contributions toward understanding this vital teleconnection.
The session was moderated by India’s Polar Coordinator Rear Admiral TVN Prasanna, and personnel from the Ministry of Ayush also participated in the session. H.E. R. Ravindra, Ambassador of India to Iceland, joined the discussion, highlighting India’s growing engagement in global polar dialogues.
