Dr. Sarat C Tripathy, Sc- F, NCPOR and Vice Chair & ExCom member of  Southern Ocean Observing System (SOOS), participated in the SOOS SSC Annual Meeting 2025 in Copenhagen. The meeting focused on developing the new SOOS ‘Science and Implementation Plan (2026–2030)’ and deliberated on international coordination for upcoming global initiatives, including the UN Decade of Ocean Science, the UN Decade of Cryospheric Sciences, Antarctica InSync, & the Fifth International Polar Year (IPY-5).
