At-sea training program for students from developing countries As part of India’s commitment to International Seabed Authority towards global capacity building in deep-sea exploration, five trainees from Algeria, Kenya, Nigeria & South Africa are aboard NCPOR’s ongoing expedition to the Central and Southwest Indian Ridges. They’re receiving hands-on training in various aspects of environmental baseline studies encompassing geology, oceanography & microbiology, complemented by lectures from the scientists on-board
