Hon'ble Minister of Earth Sciences, Shri Kiren Rijiju visited NCPOR on 26.05.2023

Dr. Thamban Meloth, Director, NCPOR briefed Hon'ble Minister of Earth Sciences, Shri Kiren Rijiju about the institute's major activities while Dr. John Kurian highlighted the Deep Ocean Mission activities at NCPOR.

HMoES, Shri Kiren Rijiju virtually interacted with the 43rd ISEA team members at Bharati - third Indian research station in Antarctica. He applauded their tireless endeavours in the extreme environment of Antarctica. Visited the ice core lab and appreciated NCPOR's scientific endeavors at Polar Regions and also experienced the virtual reality show of Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.
